Call for Submissions
Wonder Woman Wears Combat Boots: Stories of Strength, Leadership & Healing is a powerful anthology amplifying the voices of Active Duty and Veteran women who have led, endured, and transformed through their military experiences. This collection highlights authentic stories of resilience, identity, and healing—capturing both the visible and unseen battles faced in service. Through storytelling, this project aims to inspire, empower, and create space for reflection, connection, and growth among women across the military community.

Please note that there is no financial compensation for narratives selected for publication. If selected, identifying details may be reviewed and edited to help protect your privacy, and pseudonyms are encouraged. However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, and any information you choose to include may still allow for recognition. By submitting, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
Submission Guidelines
1. Eligibility Criteria
- Open to Active Duty or Veteran women.
- Minimum of 10 years of military service.
- Leadership experience.
2. Narrative Requirements
- Word count: 700–2500 words per story.
- Focus: Pivotal moments of leadership, healing, or strength.
- Formatting: All entries must use a pseudonym.
3. Submission Timeline
- Submissions Open: May 1, 2026.
- Submissions Close October 1, 2026.
- Selection Notifications: December 31, 2026.
4. The Editorial Process
- Selected stories enter a collaborative editing phase.
- Full anonymity is guaranteed throughout.
